IMMOLATION Returns With Their Twelfth Album Descent, Devastating Single “Adversary” Now Streaming

Legendary New York death metal pioneers Immolation are ramping up 2026 with the announcement of their twelfth studio album, Descent, arriving April 10 via Nuclear Blast Records. Known for setting the gold standard in extreme metal since their 1991 debut Dawn of Possession, Immolation continue to redefine the genre with their signature blend of atmospheric dirges, dissonant riffing, and relentless aggression.

The first taste of Descent comes with the blistering single “Adversary”, which is predictable devastating. The band commented on the release: “We are really excited to release Descent this year. The vibe and feel of this new one is almost addictive. We couldn’t be happier with how it came out and we can’t wait for everyone to hear it! This album takes what we’ve done on the last couple of records and truly brings it to a new level.

Immolation is set to tour North America with Behemoth, Deicide, and Rotting Christ as part of their Godless IV Tour. The tour kicks off on April 14 at The Observatory North Park in San Diego, CA and wraps up on May 21 at The Palladium in Los Angeles, CA. Get your tickets here.
