The decade-old Suzuki Every shines with black bumpers and tinted headlights in the brand-new J Limited edition

Fans of kei vans rejoice, as Suzuki has just unveiled a special edition of the Every. The J Limited adds crossover-inspired bits and cool decals to the LCV-based model, as well as a turbo engine and a 4WD option.
The current sixth generation of the Suzuki Every has been around since 2015, but remains popular in the Japanese market. The new variant is based on the flagship Join Turbo trim and benefits from a number of exterior upgrades highlighting its adventurous side.

The front and rear bumpers gain a gloss black finish, reminiscent of the unpainted plastic trim found in retro off-roaders. The same treatment has been applied to the mirrors, door handles, and pillars. Another cool feature is the black-tinted headlight clusters which come standard with LED technology.
The Every J Limited also gains gunmetal hubcaps over its tiny steelies. Finally, a decal set adorns the bodywork which is available in Ivy Green Metallic, Tool Orange, Denim Blue Metallic, and Moss Gray Metallic shades.

The tiny van measures 133.7 inches (3,395 mm) long, which makes it 10.3 inches shorter (237 mm) than a Fiat 500. Still, it has a spacious interior for camping trips on the Japanese countryside.

Standard equipment includes auto A/C and power sliding doors on both sides, while buyers can further improve practicality with optional accessories like a roof carrier, luggage bars on the side walls, and a net rack on the roofliner above the cargo area. Furthermore, there is an optional 7-inch infotainment display with Bluetooth connectivity, a rearview camera, a USB port, and a GPS antenna.
Turbo Engine And 4WD
The special edition is exclusively available with a mid-mounted turbo 658 cc three-cylinder powertrain, which is good for 63 hp (74 kW / 64 PS) and 95 Nm (70 lb-ft) of torque. This mill is mated to a CVT gearbox, sending power to the rear (2WD) or all four (4WD) wheels.
The Every J Limited is available to order in Japan, where it is priced at ¥1,835,900 ($12,500) for the 2WD version or ¥1,989,900 ($13,500) for the 4WD. Optional features include the aforementioned tech package adding ¥52,800 ($360) to the price.
The Every is not the only van in Suzuki’s Japanese lineup as it is joined by the more modern Spacia, Wagon R, and Hustler. Rugged alternatives include the Spacia Gear and the Hustler Tough Wild, while fans of kei trucks will appreciate the Super Carry X Limited.
