How much will it cost to take home a delivery-mileage 1999 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 that appears to have skipped the past twenty-plus years entirely? A car kept this untouched tends to draw curiosity before anyone thinks about the money, and in this case the number lands at $45,000.

That’s what the seller of this pristine Z28 is asking, and while that’s as much as the going rate for a basic 2026 Ford Mustang GT, it doesn’t seem unreasonable given there may not be another 1999 Camaro in the US quite like this one.
This Z28, finished in Bright Blue Metallic, appears almost exactly as it did when it left Quality Chevrolet in Escondido, California, on January 19, 1999.
What Did It Cost Then?
The base MSRP at the time was $20,950, and this particular example reached $27,789 with options that included the $500 chrome 16-inch alloy wheels and the delivery fee.
Adjusted for inflation, those figures translate to $41,415 and $54,935 today. While there is no current Camaro, the closest counterpart is the Ford Mustang GT, which starts at $46,560 before destination charges and taxes.

It includes the original window sticker on the passenger window, a pre-delivery inspection tag still sitting on the radiator support, and matching factory tags on the exhaust, springs, and struts.
Not only that, but this Camaro includes the original floor mats, still wrapped up and never installed. It also has a spare set of keys in an original sealed bag, and according to Copper Top Collection, which is selling the car out of St Joseph, Missouri, the T-tops have never been removed.
Chevy offered this color on the Camaro Z28 for one model year only, and in 1999 it built just 237 examples in Bright Blue Metallic with a manual transmission. Power came from GM’s 5.7-liter LS1 V8 that delivered 305 hp and 335 lb-ft of torque driving the rear wheels through a six-speed manual.
Other important features of this car include the Sport Appearance package, Monsoon premium audio system, an alarm, and 16-inch wheels, still clad in the original Goodyear Eagle GS-C tires.
Low-Mileage Camaros Aren’t Cheap
There’s no denying that $45,000 is a lot of money for a Camaro of this vintage, but it’s not unreasonable. A search on AutoTrader reveals several other Corvette Z28s of this vintage with asking prices in excess of $35,000, none of which have covered as few miles as this one.
