34-Years-Owned 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk for sale on BaT Auctions – ending February 4 (Lot #179,275)

This 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk is said to have been bought new on Staten Island, and it was acquired by the seller in 1990 and subsequently refurbished. The car is refinished in gold and white over gold and powered by a supercharged 289ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a Dana differential, electronic ignition, 15″ steel wheels, power steering, an antenna, bright trim, a push-button AM radio, and a front bench. Work since 2023 has included rebuilding the transmission and supercharger. This Golden Hawk is now offered with partial service records, spare parts, a selection of Studebaker Drivers Club’s Turning Wheels magazines, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

Studebaker built 4,356 examples of the Golden Hawk for the 1957 model year. This example was refinished in gold and white in the 1990s and features a mesh grille, windshield washers, an antenna, pop-open fender vents, chrome bumpers, and bright trim.

The 15″ steel wheels wear multi-spoke covers and are mounted with 205/75 Coker classic tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted drums at each corner.

The five-digit odometer shows 55k miles, approximately 20k of which were added under current ownership.
