This 2007 Porsche Cayman S was acquired by the seller as a non-running project in 2023 and a subsequent modification performed by TuneRS in Coral Springs, Florida, was completed in 2024. It is powered by a rebuilt 3.6-liter flat-six that was dyno rated at 318 wheel horsepower, and is finished in Maritime Blue over black leather and Alcantara. Equipment includes a six-speed manual transaxle, a cold air intake, an IPD intake plenum, a GT3 throttle body, a custom valved exhaust system, H&R springs, adjustable rear control arms, red-finished calipers, GiroDisc slotted rotors, 18″ factory 911 Porsche wheels, an aftermarket aero package, power-adjustable hard-back sport seats, automatic climate control, a factory Porsche MOMO steering wheel, a body-color center console, red seatbelts, and a factory CD stereo. This modified 987.1 Cayman S shows 70k miles and is offered with a dyno graph, a Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The car received a glass-out refinish in Maritime Blue under current ownership, per the seller, and it features an aftermarket aero package that includes a front splitter, mesh grille inserts, contoured side skirts, GT4-style side scoops, and a ducktail spoiler. The Carfax report notes that “minor damage” to the rear of the vehicle resulted from an incident in March 2016, and “minor damage” to the front and left rear occurred during an accident in October 2019.
The 18″ factory 911 Porsche wheels were refinished under current ownership and are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact tires measuring 245/40 up front and 295/35 out back. The car is equipped with Porsche Stability Management, and the suspension is modified with H&R springs, TRS adjustable rear control arms, and polyurethane bushings. Braking is handled by braided stainless-steel lines feeding rebuilt red four-piston Porsche-branded calipers over GiroDisc two-piece slotted rotors.
The power-adjustable hard-back sport seats were retrimmed under current ownership in black leather with Alcantara inserts. Appointments include an Alcantara headliner, a body-color center console, a Porsche Design shift knob, automatic climate control, red seatbelts, all-weather floor mats, and a factory CD stereo.
The leather-wrapped factory Porsche MOMO steering wheel frames a central 8k-rpm tachometer, a 190-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 70k miles.
The mid-mounted rebuilt 3.6-liter M96 is said to have been installed in 2024 and features the following components:
- Forged pistons
- Modified cylinder heads
- High-performance intake camshafts
- IMS Direct Oil Feed solution
- ARP hardware
- Custom cold air intake
- IPD intake plenum
- GT3 82mm throttle body
- Three-into-one headers
- GT3 valved center muffler
- Center radiator
- Unique to 3.6L air/oil separator system
- TRS underdrive pulley
The factory catalytic converters have been removed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a lightweight flywheel, a SPEC Stage 2 clutch, and a six-speed manual transaxle. Semi-solid transmission mounts and rear tie-down brackets are installed.
The dyno graph indicates peak ouput of 318 wheel horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque.
The Carfax report notes the aforementioned damage reports in March 2016 and October 2019.
